This episode is about the Peace Palace in The Hague, an iconic symbol of peace, the rule of law, and justice. More than a century after its establishment, lawyers and advocates continue to work here toward a fairer world. The Peace Palace represents Europe’s contribution to the long and challenging process of building and maintaining peace. For these reasons, it was awarded the European Heritage Label by the European Commission in 2014. Since then, it has been part of a network of 60 locations across Europe with the European Heritage Label, collectively promoting European values, history, and ideals.
